Slaymeji
A bullet heaven that keeps living on your desktop after the run.

Overview
Slaymeji: Roguelite Desktop Survivor is a 2D fantasy bullet heaven built in Unity and released into Early Access on Steam on 31 August 2026, solo-developed with the 2D art produced in-house. In the arena you build a ring of up to eight weapons and fight through 25 waves of procedurally generated, perma-death runs, or hand the run to Auto Mode; when you close the arena your hunter stays on the desktop as a draggable companion, and the to-do notes you check off there pay out permanent meta progression. Weapons, upgrades and wave content are authored as ScriptableObject data, keeping balance and content changes out of gameplay code. Owned architecture, combat and progression systems, the desktop shell (transparent always-on-top window, companion mode, resizable play window), UI/UX, performance, Steamworks integration and release.
What I built

- Desktop companion layer: transparent overlay window, mood state, and to-do notes that convert into permanent currency
- Procedurally generated runs with perma-death, six danger levels and Endless Mode after wave 25
- Weapons, upgrades and waves authored as ScriptableObject data so balance ships without code changes
- Steamworks achievements, stats and Cloud saves wired through the open-source Steam Build Pipeline
